The discovery of oil in the Albertine Graben in Western Uganda has impelled vast amounts of investment into the sector in the last ten years, however for some local communities in the oil region, the resource has already turned into a curse. This documentary trails and highlights the human rights abuses suffered by hundreds of displaced families in Rwamutonga village, Bugambe sub-county, Hoima District, following an eviction from their land by developers pursuing construction of an oil waste treatment plant.
